How does the Catalogue work?

All cities, towns, villages and counties (the local level of government) may be presented here, free of charge.

Registration is easy and as long as you complete Step 1 you are well on your way!

Step 1: Register your community.  Provide a community profile by completing Part A – Organisation details

First check if your community is already listed in the Catalogue - you can check this by using the SEARCH function.

If it is listed:

  • please check and update data (existing data added based on public Internet or directly fed in by community representatives)
  • to gain access (login / password) write to ccp-europe@iclei.org.

If it is NOT yet listed:

  • please register (Part A – Organisation details)
  • you will automatically obtain access information
  • update your profile

Minimum information required:

  • Contact details
  • City weblink plus specific climate / energy weblink
  • City logo

Step 2: Create a commitments profile

Present steps completed in achieving greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction by completing Part B – List of Commitments.

Minimum information required:

  • Targets, e.g. carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction targets, renewable energy targets - for the municipality (government / corporate) and/or the whole community.

Step 3: Promote your achievements

Let everyone know what your community has achieved.  Share innovative strategies that you have undertaken to achieve your GHG reduction targets.

Record your achievements by using the 5 logical steps in the process of local climate action

  • Main results so far (bullet points)
